Shaped rectangular, with gadroon and shell borders, each side of body engraved with a crest, the gadrooned domed cover with acanthus-clad and lion's-mask finial, one side engraved with armorials, the other side also with armorials, marked on dish, cover, and finial, the warming stands on four lion's paw feet, the sides gadrooned, with two leaf-clad handles, and detachable liner, marked under base
13½ in. (34.3 cm.) long over handles; 147 oz. 10 dwt. (4599 gr.) weighable silver (2)

The arms on one side are those of Egerton, baronets, of Egerton and Oulton Park, Chester, with the arms of another in pretence. The arms on the other side are those of Egerton with numerous quarterings.
