The square-shaped emerald weighing 9.03 carats to the baguette-cut diamond shoulders, circa 1937, ring size 7½, with French assay mark for platinum

Accompanied by report no. 48284 dated 22 March 2007 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, no indications of clarity enhancement

Lot Essay

According to family tradition this ring was bought from Boucheron in 1937. The fact that this Colombian emerald has no indications of any clarity enhancement and the age of the ring combine to make this an exquisite jewel.
