--Vintage 2001(3)
"The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard's tiny production of 190 cases will not be enough for Cabernet lovers. It boasts an inky/purple color, thrilling concentration, and gorgeously pure aromas of blackberry, creme de cassis, pain grille, white chocolate, and vanilla ice cream. Incredibly long, pure, and dense, but tightly-wound, this is a wine of enormous constitution and wonderfully sweet integrated tannin, yet I got the sense that it was only revealing part of its personality. It needs 7-8 years of bottle age, and should last for 30 years. It is a brilliant effort!" Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #150 (December 2003)
--Vintage 2002(3)
"The amazing 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard (100 Cabernet Sauvignon) offers up a fabulously fragrant perfume of chocolate, barbecue smoke, creme de cassis, crushed rocks, and spring flowers. A wine of enormous concentration, multiple dimensions, layers of flavor, and a sensational one minute plus finish, its purity, harmony, and symmetry are prodigious. It should be at its peak between 2009-2028." Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #157 (February 2005)
--Vintage 2003(3)
"The small hillside vineyard across from Freemark Abbey called Tychson Hill is unquestionably a noble site, as evidenced by every wine that has been produced from this vineyard planted under the guidance of superstar viticulturist, David Abreu. Colgin's 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill possesses an exquisite perfume of acacia flowers, cedar, creme de cassis, licorice, and graphite. Its style suggests a hypothetical blend of a Pauillac and Margaux. With silky tannin as well as an enormously concentrated yet elegant, pure style, this sensational Cabernet can be drunk now, but will be even better with another 5-7 years of bottle age. It should last for 20-25 years." Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #168 (December 2006)
