The hardwood armoire has pierced foliage cornice surmounted by a plumed mask above a similarly carved and panelled front decorated with putti heads and fitted with a pair of cabinet doors opening to reveal shelves, above two short drawers and one long drawer and an additional pair of pierced cupboard doors, with silver lock-plates, the sides similarly carved and panelled, on claw and ball feet. A larger version of the present lot is illustrated in Museo de Arte de Peru, Peru, 1992, 86.
