Lot Essay

This dial appears to have been left unfinished as there is no engraved decoration and it is very simple. The signature engraving is not of the highest quality which could indicate that Jean Joutchera was the maker and not a good engraver and thus did not attempt to adorn the piece, or that the aforenamed simply owned the dial.
