Lot Essay

China has extensive Mezosoic continental deposits called 'red beds' because of their colour. It is in these deposits that these eggs occur from Shandong Province in the east to Xingyang Ugur in the west. The egg was laid by an Oviraptor, the 2 metre tall ferocius predator made famous in the film Jurassic Park.
