a chronographic wrist watch with day indication, titanium case with gold plated trim, black face, leather strap, on the face is the Poljot trade maker's mark, 1994-1996, on the reverse is a gilt insert depicting the MIR space station, in black presentation case with POLJOT THE FIRST MOSCOW WATCH FACTORY printed in lid

Lot Essay

Worn by the soviet cosmonaut Valery Polyakov who flew on the Soyuz TM-6 and Soyuz TM-7 in 1988 and the Soyuz TM-18 in 1994. He was selected as a cosmonaut for Medical Group 3 on March 22nd1972. He retired as a cosmonaut on June 1st1995.
