a white silk flag with central IML-1 logo depicting a red gem with the outline of a male figure, surrounded by the text INTERNATIONAL MICRO GRAVITY LABORATORY and DISCOVERY STS-42, flown aboard the Discovery, STS-42, on January 22nd 1992, flag dimensions -- 10 x 14cm (4 x 5½in.) originally presented to Fred Herman, mounted on a certificate with a picture of the Discovery STS-42 and the autographs of various scientists and managers connected with the flight -- 21.5 x 28cm. (8½ x 11in.); a silk flag with American 'Stars and Stripes', flown aboard the United States Space Shuttle -- 10 x 14.5cm. (4 x 5¾in.), mounted on a certificate with a picture of an American Space Shuttle and the Space station, with text dedicating the certificate to those who contributed to recovery efforts at the World Trade Centre in New York, autographed by Daniel S.
