Valentina Tereshkova was the first woman in space and the offered material swatches come from the parachute that lowered her to Earth in the Vostok-6 on the 19th of June 1963. They were originally donated by Colonel M. Y. Temper to the Kiev Cosmonautics Museum and Republican Planetarium.
