This space glove belonged to Vladimir Lyahov who wore it on the Soyuz 32 mission in February 1979. It was on this mission that he under took his EVA space walk. This type of space walk also, classed as Extra Vehicular Activity, is when the astronaut partially or fully leaves the spacecraft by means of the tether, linking him to the craft and providing air supply. This glove has the internal metal supports necessary to deal with the pressure changes the astronaut may encounter.
