A FINE OVOID GREEN 'DRAGON' JAR AND COVER
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)

The ovoid body decorated with Bajixiang, the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism on the shoulder bordered on lower edge by ruyi lappets, two dragons striding through clouds and cloud-flames in pursuit of flaming pearls, a band of lotus panels around base, the cover with a dragon roundel surrounded by single line ring

A jar of this pattern with a Daoguang mark was included in the exhibition, Imperial Porcelain of Late Qing from the Kwan Collection, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1983, pl. 79.
