QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

The exterior of each is enamelled with an iron-red and a green dragon pursuing flaming pearls amidst floral sprays, sperated by descending phoenixes, all beneath a narrow band of ruyi-linked bajixiang, the interior with a central medallion containing an iron-red dragon and flaming pearl amid green flames

A bowl of this pattern with a Qianlong seal mark in the Qing Court Collection is illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum - Porcelains in Polychrome and Contrasting Colours, vol. 38, Beijing, 1999, p. 148, no. 136. An earlier, Kangxi, version of this pattern can be seen on p. 147, no. 135.
