This camera was the first example from a batch of 100 black cameras numbered 959401-959500 dating from 6 March 1959. The vendor's father was professional photographer from the 1950s owning several photographic shops in Sweden. He was given the opportunity to buy this black M3 camera by the Leitz distributor whom he knew. He used it as his personal camera until he retired in the 1970s.
