The Soho cabinet-maker George Minter established premises in Princes Street in 1829 before moving to Gerrard Street in the 1830s, where he traded until 1850. His brass fittings were acquired from the Wardour Street firm of Joseph, Daniel and Thomas Munyard (G. Beard, Dictionary of English Furniture Makers: 1660-1840, Leeds, 1986).
