Ward, Patentee Manufacturer to the Queen and Royal Family, 246 & 247 Tottenham Court Road London, late of Leicester Square', the brass wheel hubs also stamped with maker's name and address, with two typed paper labels 'The Hon'ble Lady Carnegie, 211, Cromwell Road, London S.W.5., Carriage Paid'

John Ward entered into partnership with Thomas Griffin, Invalid Chair maker at 6 Leicester Square, circa 1845. By 1851, Griffin had retired and Ward continued trading until 1903.
