Lot Essay

Kan'u and Gentoku are two of the three heroes whose oath of fraternal loyalty forms the background to the plot of Sangokushi, a popular romance chronicling the heroic deeds of some of China's greatest heroes. It is for this reason that they are sometimes depicted together.
