SIGNED TOUNSAI MITSUYOSHI, EDO PERIOD (19TH CENTURY)
The heavy broad oval iron tsuba chiselled in Hizen style with a ho-o bird and foliage in low relief around an irregularly shaped seppa-dai, the reverse carved with a kirin and clouds, pierced with two udenuki-ana, the broad rim with silver nunome overall
