A young gentleman, in purple cloak, long lace cravat with large red bow-tie, long curling brown hair; together with a young gentleman, in black doublet, lace-bordered white ruff, dark brown hair and light-brown pointed beard and moustache; green background within gold border (Continental School, circa 1620); together with a gentleman, in black doublet, large lace-bordered lawn collar with white-bordered grey bands, shoulder-length dark curling hair, moustache and slight beard (Continental School, circa 1640)

A young gentleman, in purple cloak, long lace cravat with large red bow-tie, long curling brown hair; together with a young gentleman, in black doublet, lace-bordered white ruff, dark brown hair and light-brown pointed beard and moustache; green background within gold border (Continental School, circa 1620); together with a gentleman, in black doublet, large lace-bordered lawn collar with white-bordered grey bands, shoulder-length dark curling hair, moustache and slight beard (Continental School, circa 1640)
the first and third, oil on copper, the other oil on card
ovals, 2 3/16 in. (55 mm.), 2 7/16 in. (62 mm.) high, gilt-metal frame with spiral cresting and oval, 1 in. (25 mm.) high, the engraved reverse with central heart surounded by numbers and letters, gilt-metal mount within filigree frame (3)
