This is taken after the miniature by Samuel Cooper formerly identified as Barbara Villiers, Duchess of Cleveland, in the collection of the Duke of Buccleuch (see S. Lloyd's exhibition catalogue Portrait Miniatures from the Collection of the Duke of Buccleuch, Edinburgh, 1996, no. 46, illustrated p. 85).
