Inspired by a Classical Greek original, the god depicted lifesized, turned slightly to his right, with a youthful idealized oval face, his almond-shaped eyes with contoured lids below arching brows, the inner canthi drilled, his undulating fleshy lips indented at the corners, his wavy hair parted at the center, a short comma-shaped wisp before each ear, adorned with a prominent laurel wreath, formed from a double row of leaves and berries, tied at the back above his low chignon, thick tresses falling to either side
