CIRCA 1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.
The youthful god standing in contrapposto with his weight on his right leg, joined to a tree-trunk support, depicted nude but for a mantle pinned with a circular brooch at his right shoulder, draping over his left shoulder and down his back, wearing talaria (his characteristic winged boots), one preserved, his musculature well defined, originally holding his caduceus in his now-missing left arm, with struts and a portion of the intertwined snakes preserved where it rested against his upper arm, likely holding a money bag in his now-missing right hand, his head turned to the right, a petasos over his short, wavy locks, his thickly-lidded eyes unarticulated, with fleshy lips and a square chin
