With scrolled broken pediment, the case fitted with shaped glazed door, the case enlosing a brass dial with Roman and Arabic blue and white enamelled numberals inscribed Etienne Lenior/A Paris' on acnathus cast cabriole supports and shell cast feet with matching bracket the twin barrel movement with later anchor escapement, count wheel strike and quarter strike on two bells with later signature 'Rusel a Paris' to back plate

Provenance
Probably bought in Paris by Sir Richard Bulkeley Williams-Bulkeley 10th Bt. (1801-1875) for Baron Hill which he rebuilt following a fire in 1836, then sold by Sir Richard Williams-Bulkeley 13th Bt. TD, JP (1911-1992) in the sale of the contents of Pen-Y-Parc 1947 where it was purchased by the landlord of the Pen-Y-Pass Hotel. The clock was later bought by the vendor at an anonymous sale of French and Continental Furniture, London 4th June 1992 lot 54
