the cylindrical neck flanked by two ribbed handles, the central roundels delicately painted in coloured enamels with Paris handing Aphrodite a plum while Hera, Athena and Eros look on, a mythological scene of a 'hero's farewell' to the reverse side, the body of a vibrant puce tone with gilt embellishment ot the rim, Qianlong four character iron-red and gilt mark to base -- 8½in. (21.5cm.) high.
