the top crisply carved with three confronting sinuous three-clawed dragons in pursuit of the flaming pearl amidst turbulent crested waves and fire scrolls, the straight sides similarly carved with crashing waves, the box and cover with gilt metal rims, the interior and underside black lacquered -- 6 7/8in. (17.4cm.) diam.
