A pair of Famille rose garden seats, 19th Century
with interlocking pierced roundels and painted with a continuous band of the eight immortals each carrying their attributes and riding on various animals and mythical beasts between bands of scrolling foliage and peony within a ruyi-head and another of lappets, the upper surface of seat with Lao Yu riding on a phoenix amidst clouds -- 18 3/8in. (46.5cm.) high. (2)
