POSSIBLY IRISH, EARLY 18TH CENTURY
The shaped rectangular bevelled plate within a frame carved with pierced rockwork, foliate scrolls and flowerheads, the cresting with foliate-clasped pierced rockwork, on a dotted trellis-background, the apron conformingly-decorated and flanked by floret-inset oval medallions, the reverse with fragmentary depositary label, originally with candle-branches, regilt, with traces of earlier gilding, previously reduced in size and now returned to its original size with a 19th century plate
29½ x 59¾ in. (75 x 152 cm.)
