EINSTEIN, Albert (1879-1955). Autograph postcard (unsigned) to his younger son, Eduard Einstein, [postmarked Berlin, 26 October 1925], enclosing a transcript of celebratory verses (16 lines) he had written for the 75th birthday of 'the old banker Fürstenberg', with the aim of showing his son 'that your old man also has something left over for the fair Muse'; the verses themselves compliment Fürstenberg in unpretentious style on his combination of financial acuity and ready wit; a couplet entitled 'Post Script' apologises for the lateness of this birthday gift, 'Dies Schreiben kommt wohl etwas spat [sic] Die Kuh nur Milch gibt, wenn sie hat', 1½ pages, 8vo (even browning).
