EINSTEIN, Albert (1879-1955). Autograph letter signed ('Papa') to his elder son, Hans Albert, [Berlin], 13 November 1930, referring to a letter from his son's former teacher, evidently offering the possibility of a position for Hans Albert as engineer in a Zurich hydraulics institute, and suggesting that Hans Albert seek an interview rather than respond by letter, which is too 'stiff' a form of communication; a postscript refers to his proposed trip to Pasadena in December, one page, 4to, envelope; together with a draft autograph letter signed by Hans Albert to the professor in question, 2 pages, 4to (indicating that he did not heed his father's suggestion about an interview).
