The poster offered here is an example of the original German poster which was banned immediately after the film's première, so very few originals exist. Versions of this poster appear with white borders and different coloured backgrounds, however these are not originals but licensed reproductions from an art gallery in Germany.

The artwork for Querelle is unusual in that it is the only occasion when Warhol specifically designed a piece for sole use on a film poster.
