A GOLD RELIGIOUS PENDANT AND LOCKET
The cover and reverse with cyrillic inscription and date reading on the front, 'Benedictions of Empress, Countess O.P Volkonskaya, M. Ya. 28 May 1875', and on the reverse, 'Bless your wife and bless the fruit of your womb', opening to reveal a miniature oil painting of the birth of the Virgin Mary, loop for suspension, 3.2 cm. high, and another small religious locket with a diamond cross and enamel hand, 2.4 cm. high
