NOTE:
Chen Hanbo (1914-1988), native at Suzhou and born in Tianjin, started his career in the News Media when studying in the Yanjing University in Beijing in 1936. He worked for various news houses in Xian, Chengdu and Chongqing where he was the vice editor of Xin Min Bao After the Sino-Japanese War. In 1946 he left for Shanghai to receive the job as chief editor in the Lian He Wan Bao.
Afterwards he was transferred to Beijing and appointed to important positions such as the Scretaty of Press in Xinhua News Agency, Vice-President of Beijing News School, Chief Editor of the Commerical Press and Chairman of the Chinese Publication Association.
