NOTE:
Born in 1918 in Quanzhou, Fujian, Zhang Renxi attended primary school for 2 years. He started as an apprentice when he was 13. While he has also worked on various jobs such as like theater publicity agent, primary and secondary school teacher, university guest lecturer, newspaper proofreading officer and editor, and so on. He was also a student of Hongyi (1880-1942).
He has presented solo exhibition in China, Singapore and America. He is a member of the Chinese Artist Association, the Chinese Calligrapher Association and consultant of the Xiamen Cultural Federation.
