Of octagonal form, the eight feet formed from the posts of a trompe l'oeil fence around the base, the sides applied with architectural brackets alternately supporting figures and with oval blank plaques, with shaped strapwork rim, similar pierced supports to the cylindrical handle and thumbpiece, marked under base, with cylindrical glass
