The square case made of silver with traces of gilding, portraying on the obverse the founder of the Byzantine Empire, St. Constantine the Great and his Mother Elena, both crowned, flanking the True Cross, the reverse engraved with a cross with trefoil finials, the sliding lid above with a mythological figure, probably a personification of Victoria, with a chain
