Engraved portrait of the author after Lely in each volume, 2 by White, the other by Burg, engraved head- and tailpieces and initials, half-titles (a little dampstaining at beginning and end of vol.I causing margins to become slightly brittle, a few other margins in vol.I frayed, a little waterstaining and browning in all vol.). Vol.I contemporary panelled calf (crudely rebacked), vol.II & III late 19th-century calf-backed buckram (a little marked). Provenance: C.G. Cooke, 1792 (signature in vol.I) - J.L.
