FIRST EDITION OF THE POET'S SECOND PUBLISHED WORK IN AN ATTRACTIVE AND UNUSUAL BINDING, THE SCARCE FIRST ISSUE with one-line errata and imprint on verso of half title reading "Printed by T. Miller, Noble street, Cheapside." Ashler III, 13; Hayward 232; Lowndes III, 1255; MacGillivray A2; Sterling 522; Tinker 1419. It was said that a scathing criticism of the work in the Quarterly Review (xix, 204-8) hastened the poet's death.
