CHURCHILL'S CIGAR CABINET: a rosewood cross-banded and sycamore-strung table cabinet, with elements c.1820 and later, adapted as a humidor. Four cigar trays (approx. 120mm deep), three mother-of-pearl keyholes, with key. An engraved plate on the lid reads: 'PRESENTED TO MR W.S. CHURCHILL ON BEING ELECTED MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR OLDHAM, 1ST OCTOBER 1900'.
