Lot Essay

Paolo Ruffo di Bagnaria, Prince of Castelcicala, (1791-1866) was a Neapolitan statesman and ambassador to London from the court of Ferdinando II, King of the Two Sicilies, (1810-1859). From 1854-1860 he was appointed Luogotenente generale dei Reali domini al di la del Faro or governor-general by Ferdinando II.
