Oblong 2°. Polychrome title-page, hand coloured plates and outline coloured maps, two folding plates depicting Lombardy and its lakes (occasional light spotting.) Contemporary blue morocco, elaborate gilt strap-work frame with central lozenge on the covers, spine with 5 raised bands, silver clasp with arms and initial of Umberto I, King of Italy (1844-1900) extremities lightly rubbed, some scratching). Provenance: Ex libris of Vittorio Emanuele III, King of Italy (1869-1947)
