4°. Coloured frontispiece and full page plates. Original pictorial cloth with Egyptian patterns and gilt title on upper cover and spine. Provenance: Ex libris and stamp of Vittorio Emanuele III, King of Italy (1869-1947).

First edition, one of the only 500 copies of the deluxe edition signed by the author at the colophon. Together with Les inscriptions et graffiti des voyageurs sur la Grande Pyramide by Georges Goyon and two oblong quarto albums with heliogravure reproductions of views of Cairo and environs and Wonderful Egypt.
