Apparently no maker's mark, assayer's mark of Jhr. Tjaard A.M.A. van Andringa de Kempenaer, Leeuwarden, 1903 and 1905, tankard possibly Swedish, circa 1886
The casters each on circular stepped base, baluster shaped body, the high domed openwork cover pierced with scrolls, dots and triangles, vase shaped finial; the tankard cylindrical, on three claw feet, the scroll handle with leaf shaped thumbpiece, the body and hinged cover engraved with bands of scrolls and dots, beaded rims, the cover inset a coin, gilt interior, base engraved Christiania 1886, marked on feet, covers and body
