The square case with moulded edges, two pierced soundfrets to the sides, the relief cast dial with foliate engraved spandrels applied with circular silver mounts, the Roman chapter ring with dot half hour markers, foliate engraved centre, brass hand with silver alarm disc, the detachable rear cover stamped BRVSSEL above a shield with the letter G, three winding holes stamped C/S, M and D, the square movement with four plain turned pillars, chain fusee for the going train, two spring barrels for the strike and alarm, verge escapement with iron bar-balance and balance cock, countwheel strike on bell positioned between the plates, with two securing latches to the backplate
