EDUARD STANTON, LONDON. EARLY 18TH CENTURY
The case of typical form, the dial signed Eduard Stanton in leaden/Hall Streete Londini, silvered Roman chapterring, possibly later steel hand, central fret engraved with fish and foliage above, the later side doors with cut-out slots and applied with later 'wings', the divided going and strike train with ropes and spikes, later anchor-shaped pendulum in between, verge escapement and countwheel strike on bell above; ring weight, lead weight with old paper transport label
