Valencian rural scenes depicting children holding vegetables, flowers or birds are reminiscient of the pre-Raphelite works which Mulet had occasion to study when he lived in London.

The present work is a prime example of the later works of Mulet's artistic career.


Las escenas de la vida del campo en Valencia, con niños sujetando pájaros, flores o verduras, son quizá una reminiscencia de las obras Pre-Rafaelitas que Mulet tuvo ocasión de estudiar cuando vivió en Londres. Este cuadro es un magnífico ejemplo de las obras tardías de la producción de Mulet.
