MARK OF THOMAS SHAW, BIRMINGHAM, 1824,
Rectangular, the cover depicting a young shepherd playing a flute beside a tree surrounded by a goat, a cow, a lamb & a dog, on frosted ground, the bevelled sides chased with foliage, engine-turned base, gilt interior & grille, the latter struck with lion passant only, 1¾ in. long (4.4 cm.), 1.25 oz.
