MARK OF SAMUEL MERITON (I), LONDON, 1746,
On three hoof feet, sides chased with a ship in full sail with a bird overhead, flowers, rococo scrolls & military trophies centred by a crested cartouche, base initialled "C" over "I*R", 5½ in. long (14 cm.), ALSO a George III cream boat, probably by Samuel Meriton (II), London, 1764, on shell & hoof feet, sides chased with flowers, the cartouche with later initial, 5½ in. long (14 cm.), 7.5 oz. (2)
