MEDICAL INTEREST:- A VICTORIAN SILVER PRESENTATION INKSTAND,
MARK OF E. & J. BARNARD, LONDON, 1867,
Of shaped rectangular outline with engraved scrollwork decoration, two mounted glass bottles flanking a central hexagonal nib compartment engraved with floral medallions & surmounted by a cast finial depicting a hakim or Indian physician attending a sick patient, the base raised on scroll feet, a pen depression at either side, initialled "IDRM" & inscribed "A token of love and esteem from a grateful patient", 12 in. long (30 cm.), 31 oz., together with an American engine-turned metalware dip pen.
