A 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT & CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL VODKA BOWL WITH LADLE & SIX KOVSHI EN SUITE,
MARK OF IVAN CHLEBNIKOV, MOSCOW, 1875,
The bowl spherical with projecting stump handles & raised on three stump feet, decorated with scrolls & stylised flowers in red, white, turquoise & dark blue, with turquoise chain borders & black Cyrillic inscription below a vacant disc , "Zda roviya", (Good health), together with six kovshi en suite, each with curved handle decorated with repetitive white & red floral motifs & white beading around sides of handles, also a ladle en suite, all with gilt interiors, height of bowl 8 in. (20 cm.), diameter across top 6 in. (15.5 cm.). (8)
