Rectangular with rounded corners, cover depicting a courting couple in village setting, the man with a balalaika, base depicting an angel in similar setting, 2¾ in. long (7 cm.), ALSO a late 19th Century Russian parcel-gilt silver trompe l'oeil cigarette case by Michael Isakov, St.Petersburg, circa 1890, engraved with a trade label to both sides, 3¼ in. long (8 cm.), 4 oz.
