Including an assortment of shapes and styles, many by the maker Benham and Froud, some plain and some with open centres, a few with ownership initials or related inscriptions

Lot Essay

The makers Benham and Froud adopted an orb as their motif because they made the orb for Saint Paul's Cathedral and had premises within sight of the Cathedral. They were working with various changes of name throughout the second half of the 19th Century
